App Download QR Code

One code. The right store.

App Download QR Code

Made from your picture, not pasted on top

An app download QR code sends each phone to the right store: iPhones to the App Store and Android phones to Google Play, with a website as the fallback. AriaQR makes it from your logo or a picture, so the code on the poster or the receipt looks like your brand. The code is dynamic: you can change the links after printing, scans are counted, and every code is tested on real decoders under real-world conditions before you download it.

Where it goes

Where people use an App download QR code

Retail counters and receipts

A card at the till or a code on the receipt that sends customers to your loyalty or ordering app.

Trade shows and conferences

On the stand, the badge or the slide, so visitors install the event app or your product app on the spot.

Packaging and product inserts

On the box of a connected device or in the manual, linking straight to the companion app.

Posters, shop windows and print ads

A QR code for your app on the campaign poster covers both iPhone and Android users, so you do not print two.

How it works

How to make an App download QR code with your logo

  1. 1

Upload your logo or a picture

Your logo, an app icon artwork or a campaign image. PNG, JPEG or WebP.

  2. 2

Choose App and add your store links

Add the App Store link, the Google Play link and a fallback website for phones that use neither.

  3. 3

Check the verdict, then scan it

Every code is tested before you see it. Scan it with your phone: it should open your app’s page in the right store.

  4. 4

    Download and print

Download the full-size file. Choose small print for receipts and stickers down to about 1.5 cm; standard works from 4 cm and up.

Design tips

Getting the design right

  • Tell people what they get

A line such as “Scan to get the app” plus one reason, like “Order ahead” or “Collect points”, gives people a reason to install.

  • Always add the fallback website

Not every phone uses the two big stores. A website link makes sure nobody scans and lands on an error.

  • Check both stores before printing

Scan with an iPhone and an Android phone if you can. Each should land on your app, not on a search page.

Questions

App download QR code questions

How does an app download QR code work?

The code opens one link, and the phone is sent on to the matching store: the App Store on an iPhone, Google Play on an Android phone. Other phones go to your fallback website.

Do I need two codes, one for iPhone and one for Android?

No. One code covers both. You add your App Store link and your Google Play link when you make it.

Can I change the store links after printing?

Yes. The code is dynamic, so if your app moves or you launch a new version you can update the links without reprinting, and scans are counted.

Can I put my logo on an app download QR code?

Yes, and more than a logo in the middle: AriaQR turns the whole picture into the code. Upload your logo or a photo, add your store links, and you get a branded code that is tested before download.

Where can I get a plain App Store QR code for free?

Our free App Store QR code generator makes a standard black-and-white code at no cost. This page is for a code made from your logo or picture.
