Where do I find the Teams meeting link?+
In the invite, right-click "Join the meeting now" (press and hold on a phone) and copy the link. You can also paste the whole invitation and the link is picked out.
Why is my Teams code so dense?+
Older Teams links carry a long block of meeting details, often 300 characters or more. Print the code at least 3 cm (1.2 in) wide, or use a short link.
What are Safe Links?+
Outlook in many companies rewrites links through safelinks.protection.outlook.com. The generator takes the real Teams link out of the wrapper, so the code is shorter and opens directly.
Do guests need a Teams account?+
Usually not. Guests can join from the app or the browser, depending on your organization's settings, and may wait in the lobby.
Can I use just the meeting ID?+
Not in a code. The meeting ID and passcode are for typing into Teams by hand, so paste the meeting link instead.
