Fingerprint QR code generator

Short strokes follow concentric rings so the whole code looks like a pressed fingerprint, ridges and all. It uses a single slate ink with a fine grain, which keeps it sober and very readable. A good fit when the message is about identity, trust or something made by hand.

Works well for

  • Cybersecurity and identity company cards
  • Forensics and crime-fiction book covers
  • Art gallery name tags and passes
  • Artisan and maker product labels

Printing tip

Keep the ink one solid dark colour in print and avoid shrinking below 2 cm (0.8 in), so the ridges stay distinct from each other.

Static or dynamic: a static code never expires but its link can't change. Pick Dynamic above (free with an account) to change the link after printing and count every scan.

Questions

Does a fingerprint QR code actually contain a fingerprint?+

No. It is only a look: the dots are arranged to resemble ridges. The code holds whatever link you type and nothing about anyone's body or identity.

Will a code made of ridges still scan?+

Yes. The marks are dark on a light panel, the code uses the highest error correction level, and the design is tested with real QR code readers before it is published.

Can I use it on business cards?+

Yes. It is free for personal and commercial use with no watermark, and the SVG prints cleanly at card size. A static code never expires, though the link is fixed once printed.
