What hosting you need
- Public https links that anyone can open without signing in. Google Drive and OneDrive share links show a web page, not the file, so they do not work.
- Android: one self-contained .glb (glTF 2.0, textures inside). Keep it small, ideally under 10 MB, so it loads on mobile data.
- iPhone and iPad: a .usdz file, opened in Safari. The server should send it as
model/vnd.usdz+zip. - For this page’s preview, the host must allow cross-site loading (CORS). GitHub raw links do; many website hosts can be set to.

The 3D QR code sculpture generator exports a GLB: host it and put it here, and people can place your scannable sculpture on their desk in AR. One code for both platforms needs a web page that picks the right viewer for each phone, such as Google’s open-source model-viewer.

- Print "Android" and "iPhone" under each code, so people scan the right one.

Questions
Do people need an app to see the model in AR?+
Not on most phones. Android opens Google Scene Viewer, which comes with Google Play Services for AR on supported phones; iPhone and iPad open AR Quick Look from Safari. Phones without AR show the model in 3D instead.
Why two codes?+
Android and iPhone use different viewers and file formats: Scene Viewer reads .glb, AR Quick Look reads .usdz. One code for both needs a web page that detects the phone, such as one built with Google's open-source model-viewer.
Where can I host the model?+
Anywhere that serves the file itself on a public https link: your own website, a storage bucket or GitHub. Google Drive and OneDrive share links open a web page instead of the file, so AR viewers cannot load them.
How big can the model be?+
Keep it under about 10 MB and a few hundred thousand triangles. Every scan downloads the whole file, often on mobile data.
Is my model uploaded to AriaQR?+
No. The code only holds the link. The preview loads the model from your host straight into this browser tab, and a file picked from your device is only read locally.
Can I swap the model later?+
Yes, if you replace the file at the same address, since the code holds the link and not the model. To change the link itself or count scans, use a dynamic code.
