About MaxiCode
A 2D code of hexagons around a bullseye, made for high-speed parcel sorting: overhead scanners find the bullseye at any angle as boxes move past. Modes 2 and 3 put the destination postal code, country and service where sorters read them first. Phone camera apps rarely read MaxiCode; warehouse imagers do.

What is MaxiCode?+
A 2D code of hexagons around a bullseye, made for fast parcel sorting. Overhead scanners find the bullseye at any angle as boxes move past. It is best known from UPS labels.
What are the modes?+
Modes 2 and 3 carry a structured message: the postal code (numeric in mode 2, letters and digits in mode 3), a 3-digit country code and a class of service, then any other data. Mode 4 is plain text, and mode 5 trades capacity for extra error correction.
Can I print carrier shipping labels with this?+
Carriers define what goes into their MaxiCode and generate it in their label software. Use that for live shipments; this tool suits tests, your own sortation and learning the format.
Can I change the size?+
No. MaxiCode is a fixed 28.14 × 26.91 mm, about 1.1 × 1.05 inches. Print the SVG or PDF at 100% with at least 1 mm clear around it.
