Can I scan a QR code from a screenshot?
Yes. Upload the screenshot to the QR code reader and it shows what the code contains, without needing a second phone.
How do I know a code will scan before I print it?
Use the tester. It decodes the image and re-reads it under harder conditions, then tells you whether it is solid, fragile or failing, and why.
How can I tell if a QR code is a scam?
Read it first instead of opening it. The safety checker shows where the link goes in plain words and flags scam signs such as look-alike sites, hidden addresses and bare IP addresses. The QR code reader also checks links against Google Safe Browsing.
Are the images I upload stored?
No. Images are processed in memory for the check and then discarded.
