Questions
Does the image keep its resolution?+
Yes. The export is the same pixel size as your original, with the code drawn into it at that resolution, so it prints as well as the photo did.
Why put the code on a plate?+
A QR code needs strong contrast and a clear margin, called the quiet zone. Photos rarely give it that on their own, so the plate adds a solid square behind the code. Without it, the code only works on a plain, light area.
How big should the code be?+
For a poster read from a couple of meters, at least 10 cm wide. The page shows the size in pixels and at 300 dpi, and warns when the code would be too small to find in the whole picture.
Can I round the corners?+
Yes. The plate can have soft or round corners, kept small enough to stay clear of the code’s corner squares.
Is my photo uploaded?+
No. It is drawn and saved in your browser. Location and camera metadata in the original are not copied into the new file.
