Signal opens a chat with you, or the group invite. People need the Signal app; without it, the page offers to install it.
Should I use my phone number or my username?+
Your username link, if you want to keep your number private. In Signal, go to Settings, Profile, Username, then QR code or link, and paste the link. A number link shows your number to anyone who scans.
Does Signal already have a QR code?+
Yes, in the app, for your username. This page makes the same link as a print-ready code in your colors, and also handles phone numbers and group links.
Why is the part after # kept?+
Signal puts the number or username after the #, a part of the link that is never sent to a server. Cutting it off would break the link, so it is kept exactly.
Can I change the link or count scans later?+
