What happens when someone scans a Telegram QR code?+
Telegram opens on the chat, channel, group or bot. Without the app, a web preview offers to open it or install Telegram.
Can the code open a private group?+
Yes. Paste the group's invite link (t.me/+…). Anyone with the code can ask to join, so revoke the link in Telegram if it spreads too far.
Does a bot link keep its start parameter?+
Yes. A link like t.me/yourbot?start=table4 keeps start, so the bot knows where the scan came from.
Can I use my phone number?+
Yes, with the country code: the code opens t.me/+ and your number. It only reaches you if your privacy settings let people find you by number.
Can I change the link or count scans later?+
