How the payer uses it

Questions
Why does the network matter so much?+
The same 0x address works on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and other EVM networks. If the payer sends on a different network from the one you use, the coins arrive somewhere your wallet may not show. The code includes the chain ID, and you should print the network name next to it.
Can I request USDT or other tokens?+
For EVM networks this page requests the network's own coin only. Token requests are handled differently by each wallet, so they are left out rather than risk a code that pays the wrong thing. On Solana, USDC is supported through Solana Pay.
How are addresses checked?+
Ethereum addresses with capital letters are verified against their EIP-55 checksum. Litecoin and Dogecoin checksums are verified. Solana addresses have no checksum, so only the format and length are checked.
Which wallets read these codes?+
Most EVM wallets, including MetaMask, read EIP-681 links. Phantom and Solflare read Solana Pay. Litecoin and Dogecoin wallets read their own litecoin: and dogecoin: links.
Does scanning the code send any crypto?+
No. It only fills in a payment in the payer's wallet. They see the address, network and amount, and nothing is sent until they confirm.
