Magnetic field QR code generator

The strokes follow the field lines of a bar magnet, curving from a red pole on one side to a blue pole on the other, the way iron filings settle on a sheet of paper. It is a classroom diagram turned into a working code. Scientific, graphic and instantly recognisable.

Works well for

  • Science museum and exhibit labels
  • STEM school worksheets and posters
  • Engineering firm and lab business cards
  • Hardware and electronics packaging

Printing tip

Because red and blue carry the meaning, print in full colour and not greyscale, and keep the code at least 2.5 cm (1 in) wide.

Static or dynamic: a static code never expires but its link can't change. Pick Dynamic above (free with an account) to change the link after printing and count every scan.

Questions

Which side is red and which is blue?+

The left half shades red and the right half blue, with strokes curving between them. The colours are decorative and carry no extra information in the code.

Will the curved strokes scan?+

Yes. Both colours are dark enough to read as the dark marks on the light panel, the code uses the highest error correction level, and the design is tested with real QR code readers.

Can teachers use it for free?+

Yes. Anyone can use it, personal or commercial, with no sign-up and no watermark. The code is static and never expires, so a printed worksheet keeps working.

The next step

Make the code the artwork.

These tools make and check classic codes. AriaQR turns your photo, logo or illustration into the code itself, verified on real decoders before you download, with a link you can edit and track.
