Questions
What should I put in source, medium and campaign?+
Source is where the code lives, like poster or packaging. Medium is the channel, use qr. Campaign is the name of the push, like spring-launch. Keep them lowercase and consistent.
Will scans show in Google Analytics 4?+
Yes, as long as the destination page has GA4 installed. The UTM parameters are read automatically on landing.
UTM links are long. Does that hurt the QR code?+
Yes, a long URL means a dense code. If the code will be small, shorten the tagged link first with the link shortener, which keeps the UTMs on the destination.
Can I change the campaign after printing?+
Not on a static code. A dynamic AriaQR code lets you edit the destination, including its UTMs, at any time.
