How the payer uses it
- They open any UPI app and tap Scan, or point the phone camera at the code.

Which apps can scan a UPI QR code?+
Any UPI app. The code holds a standard upi://pay link, which every UPI app and most phone cameras recognize.
Does the code take money from the person who scans it?+
No. The code only asks for a payment. The payer's app shows who is being paid and how much, and nothing is sent until they confirm it in their own app. UPI payments also need the payer's UPI PIN.
Should I set an amount?+
Set one for a fixed price, like a ticket or an invoice. Leave it blank for a shop counter or tip jar, so the payer types the amount each time.
Is there a limit on the amount?+
The code itself has none. Limits are set by the payer's bank and UPI app, and their app tells them if a payment is over their limit.
Is my UPI ID sent anywhere?+
No. The code is built in your browser and read back on your device to check it scans. Nothing you type is sent to a server or stored.
