Toy bricks QR code generator

The modules are chunky building bricks with round studs on top, coloured in primary red, blue, green and orange. Navy rounded finder squares hold the layout together. It looks like something you could snap together, and kids notice it.

Works well for

  • Toy shop bags and shelf labels
  • Children's museum and science centre exhibits
  • School STEM club and robotics event flyers
  • Birthday party invitations and goodie bags

Printing tip

Print the code in solid colours on white paper, no smaller than 2.5 cm (1 in) wide, so the studs stay round and the coloured bricks keep clear gaps.

Static or dynamic: a static code never expires but its link can't change. Pick Dynamic above (free with an account) to change the link after printing and count every scan.

Questions

Do the studs on the bricks affect scanning?+

The studs are small highlights on each dark brick. The code uses the highest error correction level and the design is tested with real QR code readers before publishing.

Is this a branded building-block QR code?+

No. It is our own drawing of generic toy building bricks and has no connection to any toy maker.

Can I use it for a children's event?+

Yes, for personal and commercial use, with no watermark and no sign-up. Link to a schedule, a sign-up form or a game page; the code is static and never expires.
