Codes

Change where a code points

1 min read·Updated October 27, 2026

Short answer

Open the code in your dashboard, type the new address under “Destination” and save. The printed code keeps working and starts opening the new address straight away. Every new address is safety checked first.

The printed code never changes; only the short link’s destination does.

From your dashboard

  1. 1Open Codes and click the code.
  2. 2Type the new address in Destination.
  3. 3Click Save. Scans open the new address at once.

Good to know · Static types (Wi-Fi, UPI, Bitcoin) and structured codes (contact cards, app downloads, messages, calls) can’t be re-pointed: make a new code instead. A payment code can only change to another payment link, by its owner, signed in.

Every address is checked against Google Safe Browsing when you save it, and every day after. A dangerous address can’t be saved.
