Pinwheel QR code generator
Dots stretch into short dashes where neighbours meet, and the colours run in concentric rings from the centre outward, like the bands of a paper pinwheel. It is cheerful and geometric at the same time.

PNG is 2048 px for screens and print; SVG scales to any size. Free for personal and commercial use, no watermark.
Works well for
- Children's book and toy packaging
- Playground and park signs
- Design studio business cards
- Spring event flyers
Printing tip
Colour rings need strong contrast against the paper, so print at 2.5 cm (1 in) or larger and check a proof with your phone.
Static code: it never expires, but the link can't change after printing. Need edits or scan counts? Make a dynamic code.
Questions
Will a QR code with colour rings scan?+
Yes. The dashes and dots sit on the standard grid, with dark colours on a light background and the highest error correction. The design is tested with real QR code readers.
Can I use it on packaging?+
Yes. Download the SVG and place the code on a light area with its white border.
Is the pinwheel QR code free?+
Yes. It is free for personal and commercial use, with no watermark and no sign-up. It is a static code, so it does not expire but cannot be edited after printing.

The next step
Make the code the artwork.
These tools make and check classic codes. AriaQR turns your photo, logo or illustration into the code itself, verified on real decoders before you download, with a link you can edit and track.
